Movember x Ben Eine

To raise awareness and funds for men's mental health, I initiated a unique collaboration that brought together the world-renowned artist Ben Eine and the charity Movember. The concept was to create a limited edition print that seamlessly integrated Movember's iconic mustache logo into one of Ben Eine's most celebrated murals, 'Scary.'

The project started with using art as a powerful medium to shed light on men's mental health. We recognized that Ben Eine's distinctive style and artistic influence would be a compelling way to convey our message.

The artist, Ben Eine, was enthused by the project and began meticulously incorporating the Movember mustache logo into 'Scary.' This was not just about a simple overlay; it required careful planning and execution to blend the two elements seamlessly while retaining the integrity of the mural and logo.

The finished piece featured an impressive array of fifty-five mustaches integrated into the mural's background. This number was symbolic, representing the tragic fact that every hour, fifty-five men worldwide die by suicide, underscoring the urgency of the issue we were addressing.

The mural was strategically placed on a prominent wall along Shoreditch's Rivington Street, ensuring it would attract significant attention from the local community and passersby. This prime location helped maximize the reach of our message.

To further align the mural with Movember's mission to challenge societal norms and stigma surrounding men's mental health, the piece was adorned with Movember's branding elements. This reinforced the partnership with the charity and clearly stated that we were dedicated to breaking the taboo associated with men's mental well-being.

The project was a resounding success, generating substantial awareness and funds for men's mental health initiatives. It showcased the transformative power of art in addressing societal issues and demonstrated the potential of collaborations between artists, charities, and communities to create meaningful change.

This project served as a poignant reminder that even the most complex and sensitive issues, like men's mental health, can be addressed creatively and effectively when passionate individuals and organizations come together.
